A lower bound for the coefficients of denormalized Lorentzian Laurent series
May 10 @ 11:00 am - 11:30 am

We introduce and study the class of denormalized Lorentzian (DL) Laurent series. We prove lower bounds for the coefficients of such Laurent series using Gurvits’ capacity function. As a result, we are able to obtain an already known capacity bounds for the number of contingency tables, a new lower bound for the number of integral flows of any acyclic directed graph, and a lower bound for the dimension of weight spaces of parabolic Verma modules.
